Steller's Jay

The Steller’s Jay, British Columbia’s provincial bird, is easy to spot with its deep blue feathers and bold crest. Curious and clever, it’s often heard calling through forests across the province.

Year-round, but they are most active in the spring and summer.

The Steller's Jay can be found all over BC, but is most prominent in the southern and coastal regions. They are also frequent guests in the backyard!
