Osprey
A large raptor with much more white than an eagle, Ospreys are found across most of the globe. They feed by plunging into the water feet first and catching live fish with their talons, often after circling or hovering in place for a minute or so.
Active seasons
Spring-summer.
How/where to find
Near water. Often nest on dedicated osprey platforms in nature reserves, also build nests on tall light fixtures (like at outdoor sports fields)
